KRED Enterprises Pty Ltd

KRED Enterprises is an Aboriginal-owned company operating from Broome in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, established as the income-generating arm of the Ambooriny Burru Foundation. It works under the direction of Traditional Owners from several native title claim groups and states that it acts only on the prior and informed consent of its members. KRED's purpose is to create economic opportunities that affirm Aboriginal cultural and social values and to help secure long-term economic independence for Kimberley Aboriginal people, integrating economy, people and culture, and management of country. Through KRED and related entities, it offers heritage protection, cultural monitoring and social-impact services (EHSIS); Aboriginal engagement and business consulting; program development; and bookkeeping, accounting and payroll for Aboriginal enterprises. Traditional Owners can also access legal advice through Arma Legal, formerly KRED Legal, a law firm set up by Traditional Owners to meet their needs.
