Noongar Family Safety and Wellbeing Council Incorporated

The Noongar Family Safety and Wellbeing Council is committed to a future for its people where Aboriginal children and families are healthy, strong and empowered. Working on Noongar Country, the Council provides Aboriginal leadership and a regional voice on the safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal children, particularly in relation to child protection and out-of-home care. It emphasises self-determination, cultural identity and holistic healing, and advocates to influence the policies and legislation that affect Aboriginal communities. The Council's work is guided by values including respect for cultural protocols, a commitment to excellence, Aboriginal empowerment, human rights, compassion, family-centred practice and non-violence. Through advocacy and representation it seeks to keep Aboriginal children connected to family, culture and community, and to ensure Aboriginal people help shape the systems that affect their children.
