Keedac (Kaata-Koorliny Employment & Enterprise Development Aboriginal Corporation) is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation based in Narrogin, with staff also in Northam, serving the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia. It delivers mental health and psychosocial support, intensive family support, and community programs run through the Narrogin Community Centre. Keedac offers Noongar language and Aboriginal art and culture activities, yarning circles, community gardens and bush crafts, alongside accredited training in mental health and community services and board and management training. Its work is guided by Closing the Gap priorities, child safety and wellbeing, and support for Aboriginal families across the region.
Who we are
Keedac is the Kaata-Koorliny Employment & Enterprise Development Aboriginal Corporation, an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation with its head office in Narrogin and support staff in Northam, working across the large Wheatbelt region of Western Australia. Keedac supports Aboriginal individuals, families and communities through mental health and psychosocial support, intensive family support, and community activities delivered from the Narrogin Community Centre. It runs cultural and educational programs including Noongar language, Aboriginal art and culture, yarning circles, community gardens and bush crafts, and provides accredited training in mental health and community services as well as board and management training. Keedac has received Lotterywest support to expand services and community development. The organisation embeds child safety and wellbeing in its culture and aligns its work with Closing the Gap, aiming to strengthen Aboriginal wellbeing, connection to culture, and opportunity throughout the Wheatbelt.
