Moorditj Koort Aboriginal Corporation (MKAC) is a community-controlled, not-for-profit, Aboriginal-led organisation committed to improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Western Australia. Established in 2010, it delivers culturally safe, holistic health care that strengthens individuals, families and communities through Aboriginal ways of knowing and being. MKAC envisions Aboriginal-led health care where communities access comprehensive care and support for empowered, healthy living, and aspires to a just and inclusive society in which all Aboriginal people are respected and valued for their culture, history and contribution to contemporary life. Its services include GP and chronic disease management, mental health and suicide prevention, integrated team care, aged and elder care, school health checks, ENT and specialist clinics, podiatry and diabetes outreach, cultural awareness training and NDIS navigation. MKAC operates from hubs in Parmelia, Midland, Armadale and Northam.
