Ngangganawili Aboriginal Community Controlled Health and Medical Services Aboriginal Corporation

Ngangganawili Aboriginal Health Service (NAHS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation established in 1993 to provide health care to the community of the Wiluna shire and surrounding region, including pastoral stations, mining operations and tourists. NAHS delivers a holistic model of primary health care, operating in ways determined by the local community and in a culturally secure way; non-Aboriginal staff undertake cultural sensitivity training with local Elders. It runs a GP medical centre on all business days of the year, with paramedics extending emergency support outside standard hours. Services include general practice, 24-hour emergency care, maternal and child health, sexual health, diagnostic imaging, pathology and immunisation, chronic disease management, mental health and substance-misuse programs, dental care via the flying doctor service, community aged care, NDIS disability support and environmental health programs.
