Yued Aboriginal Corporation

Yued Aboriginal Corporation represents the Yued people, a Noongar group whose Country lies north of Perth, in the Wheatbelt and Moora area of Western Australia. It was established following the settlement of a native title claim under the Native Title Act. The Yued Indigenous Land Use Agreement area covers approximately 26,040 square kilometres and takes in towns including Moora, Gingin, Jurien Bay, Cervantes, Coorow, Leeman and Calingiri. The corporation describes the Yued people as having a complex and sophisticated society and knowledge that has survived the effects of colonisation. Its work includes managing culturally significant sites and advocating for heritage protection across its region, alongside a range of community services: issuing Certificates of Aboriginality, coordinating Welcome to Country, providing heritage survey services and firearms support letters, delivering cultural awareness training, and assisting with social housing and business registration and development for its members and the wider community.
